After a fantastic day in Ronda we decided to move on and go to the beach. I had rented an apartment in Isla Plana since fall.
Isla Plana is a cute little village with seriously nothing going on. But the scenery is very nice and the climate is always a tad bit warmer. The small bay Isla Plana is nested in between mountains which guard the village from heavier weather. This landscape also makes for a very nice backdrop.
That was it for small tour then. We had great time despite the hassle with the rental van. Now we are looking forward to the adventures we’ll with “Forrest” – the Mercedes Sprinter van I bought last November.

Not much to find on google or wikipedia – which is good sign if you want to stay away from the tourist traps by the coast. Trip advisor of course has reviews of all the small Spanish restaurants here.
My favourites are the “Meson” and the “El Ancla” on the main road close to the church. Meson is a very typical “menu del die” restaurant. 2 courses plus home made dessert, a starter salad plus drinks and coffee for 11 Euros (2020) is a steal. The smiles of the amazingly friendly waitresses there is priceless.
El Ancla is very nice cafe during the day and it converts to a pub in the evenings. Fridays with live music played by the local Irish & English musicians.
